It’s dangerous to go alone – take this cute puppy. He’s noisy, he’s untrained, and he’ll probably poo in your shoes while a zed claws your eyes out, but he’s yours<\/em>. And yes, dogs are coming to the popular ARMA 2 zombie survival mod, DayZ.<\/p>\n

In a video interview with IGN, DayZ mod creator Dean Hall explains how the post-zombie apocalypse pooches will serve both as buddies and bodyguards, although you’ll have to teach them how do things for you like track down animals and zombies.<\/p>\n

And then, just when you finally have the best dog ever, some bandit will shoot him across the entire map using a hacked AS50 AWS. Or you’ll accidentally shoot him with a crossbow after switching back from an alt-tab. Oh, the tears.<\/p>\n

No word on when the update is coming, but… it’s coming. OH GOD, IT’S COMING RIGHT FOR US! KILL IT WITH THE HATCHET!<\/p>\n
