<\/em><\/strong>Recently, a number of copies of Resident Evil 6 were stolen, and now they appear to have hit the black market.<\/p>\n

Photos of the retail game first surfaced on Polish website Neogo.pl and were later confirmed to be legitimate.<\/p>\n

\u201cCapcom is currently undertaking a thorough investigation into reports that Resident Evil 6 is being sold ahead of its official October 2 release date,\u201d the publisher said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this time, all we can add is that it would appear this unfortunate incident is limited to a small quantity of stolen copies of the German USK PlayStation 3 version of the game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Capcom said it won’t change the release date of the game due to the leak.<\/p>\n

Resident Evil 6 will be available from 2 October on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC release will follow, but has not yet been dated.<\/p>\n
