Guitar Hero has a new world champion – one Dylan Phifer of Everett, Washington.<\/p>\n
The twelve year old recently submitted a tape of his performance at the Everett Game Crazy Store as well as witness testimonies proving that he had racked up 1 019 000 points on Guitar Hero, beating the previously held world record by 10 000 points.<\/p>\n
“I never expected to break a world record on something that is kind of important. Maybe something kinda small but not this big.” said Phifer, as reported by First Coast News.<\/p>\n
Phifer’s mother Sallie believes that “Dylan’s always had a natural ability to really focus in on things.”, an ability which enabled him to spend countless hours practicing on his Xbox 360 before his world record attempt.<\/p>\n
Andrew McGillivray, who works at Game Crazy, says “he’s incredible. I’ve never seen anyone play guitar hero like him, it just baffles me how good he is.”<\/p>\n
“This is such a great thing to see anyone break a Guinness Book of World Record but on top of that having a 12-year-old come in and do it was fantastic.” he continued.<\/p>\n
Despite his success Phifer has no plans to learn to how play a real guitar.<\/p>\n
“I tried it. I just couldn’t get it for my life. There are all these strings on it and you have to strum and hit notes.”<\/p>\n
