{"id":44645,"date":"2012-09-14T12:29:34","date_gmt":"2012-09-14T10:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=44645"},"modified":"2012-09-14T12:31:27","modified_gmt":"2012-09-14T10:31:27","slug":"nintendo-wii-u-south-africa-launch-date-confirmed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/44645-nintendo-wii-u-south-africa-launch-date-confirmed","title":{"rendered":"Nintendo Wii U South Africa launch date confirmed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South Africa&#8217;s Core Gaming Systems, on behalf of Nintendo Europe, has confirmed that the Nintendo Wii U console will be hitting South African retail on 30 November 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Recommended pricing information for the Basic and Premium models of the system has yet to be confirmed by Core.<\/p>\n<p>For South Africa , the Premium package will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Black Wii U console with 32GB internal storage;<\/li>\n<li>GamePad touchscreen control and cradle;<\/li>\n<li>Wii sensor bar;<\/li>\n<li>Power adapters;<\/li>\n<li>HDMI cable; and<\/li>\n<li>Nintendo Land game.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Premium bundle will also include membership of Nintendo Network Premium, giving discounts on digital software.<\/p>\n<p>The Basic package will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wii U console with 8GB internal storage;<\/li>\n<li>GamePad touchscreen control;<\/li>\n<li>Power adapters;<\/li>\n<li>HDMI cable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Wii U supports SD memory cards and external USB storage to expand on the internal. Wii U game discs have a 25GB capacity.<\/p>\n<p>The console uses 2GB of RAM; 1GB for games, and 1GB for system memory. This means that users will be able to surf the internet and MiiVerse without quitting their game.<\/p>\n<p>No launch title pricing was given for Europe, as retailers across the region are free to set their own pricing. In the US, the Wii U is confirmed to cost US$299.99 (\u00b1R2,500) for Basic package, and US$349.99 (\u00b1R2,925) for the Premium package.
