Although there has recently been an influx of Direct X 11 related news with the announcement of AMD’s 5800 series the gaming world is still void of titles that support this advancement.<\/p>\n
Dirt 2 was intended to be the first PC title to support Direct X 11. Initially it was scheduled to be released in conjunction with DX11 compatible hardware in September and October this year. Instead developer Codemasters announced in July that the game would be pushed back for DX11 ‘tweaks’. It is now expected to be released in December.<\/p>\n
S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat was also intended to be one of the earliest Direct X 11 compatible games on the market earlier this year. Despite this Fudzilla<\/a> is reporting that the game has also been pushed back and will now arrive in the first quarter of next year.<\/p>\n No official reasons for this have yet been given although it can be expected that last minute alterations to the game’s dynamics in order to better fit with Direct X 11 hardware are to blame.<\/p>\n Upon the release the game will feature a number of new additions including several monsters, the ability to sleep and a new player interface.<\/p>\n
