rAge 2012, South Africa’s largest gaming expo and LAN event, has come to a close, and as the weary troops recuperate, let’s reflect on what the participants had to say about the mammoth gaming session.<\/p>\n

MyGaming caught up with a few of the LANners to hear their thoughts.<\/p>\n

LAN thoughts?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“The LAN is really good, but I think it\u2019s going to improve even more as people begin to settle in and there are more players this evening.” – Greg Bruss.<\/p>\n

“The LAN has been busy – the tickets were very expensive, but it has been very good. But I have no internet. We need Steam to play games like MW3, but with no internet it makes it a bit tough; we have to play cracked versions.” – Alexander Flock.<\/p>\n

“The LAN has been awesome; it’s my first time though. The LAN is great, but I haven\u2019t been walking around and checking out the show itself though.” – Tumi.<\/p>\n

“Pure brilliance!” – Brendan Marks.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s been amazing so far, the only downside is that they could\u2019ve had a 1Gbps line as opposed to 100Mbps; it just makes things a little laggy, but outstanding so far.” – Super Galactic President McAwesome (we don’t make this stuff up).<\/p>\n

Did you come just for the LAN or the showroom floor too?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I obviously came for the LAN; the showroom is cool, but it does get a bit boring after a while, so I\u2019m looking to the LAN to keep me busy.” – Greg Bruss.<\/p>\n

“I just came for the LAN.” – Alexander Flock.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m definitely heading into the show, and being an action\/adventure gamer, I\u2019m very keen to see Assassin\u2019s Creed III, and Far Cry 3.” – Tumi.<\/p>\n

“I am keen to check out Assassin\u2019s Creed III, definitely want to get my hands on that!” – Brendan Marks.<\/p>\n

“I am also going to see if I can get some cool hardware deals at some good prices.” – Super Galactic President McAwesome.<\/p>\n

Any problems with the network?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“None at all. Set up very quickly and have had no problems.\u201d \u2013 Greg Bruss.<\/p>\n

“There\u2019s no internet” – Alexander Flock.<\/p>\n

“I was expecting a hiccup, and there was apparently a problem with Telkom, but for me it\u2019s been great, no problems.” – Anonymous.<\/p>\n

“I’m not even sure if the internet is working.” – Brendan Marks.<\/p>\n

In comparison to last year?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I got some sleep last year, so that was a plus.” – Brendan Marks.<\/p>\n

“My first time at rAge, but excited!” – Super Galactic President McAwesome.<\/p>\n
