Numerous Cybersmart<\/a> subscribers are set to benefit from free 40Mbps speed upgrades in Telkom<\/a>\u2019s high speed VDSL broadband trial.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe exchanges have been upgraded officially from the first of October. We have a list of customers who we believe are in the footprint,\u201d said Cybersmart CEO Laurie Fialkov<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cEach of them will be phoned and invited to participate. We expect 100% participation since there will be absolutely no cost to them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fialkov explained that qualifying customers will be contacted to ask them if they want to participate, and if they are keen a 40Mbps capable router will be couriered to them free of charge.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will be asking our customers for feedback on a regular basis. We have also agreed that Telkom poll these customers as to the performance,\u201d said Fialkov.<\/p>\n

Fialkov added that the increased speed will be available during the trial period and the customers will automatically be downgraded when the trial ends.<\/p>\n
