{"id":45738,"date":"2012-10-11T01:41:31","date_gmt":"2012-10-10T23:41:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=45738"},"modified":"2012-10-11T13:38:28","modified_gmt":"2012-10-11T11:38:28","slug":"most-popular-gaming-platforms-in-sa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/45738-most-popular-gaming-platforms-in-sa","title":{"rendered":"Most popular gaming platforms in SA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to the latest MyGaming Survey results, conducted in September 2012, PCs are the most popular gaming platform among SA&#8217;s gamers, with 78.95% of those surveyed using the platform.<\/p>\n<p>Smartphones were the second most popular platform, with 69.96% of the sample gaming on such devices.<\/p>\n<p>Comparing results to the previous MyGaming survey, conducted in March 2012, it is interesting to note a growth in Xbox users, from 33.49% to 39.47.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, Tablet PC adoption has increased significantly, by about 10%.<\/p>\n<p>With a sample of 912 responses, we are given a good picture of the high-end SA gaming market and their habits.<\/p>\n<p>The following table provides an overview of the survey feedback. The results are ordered according to popularity.<\/p>\n<p>We asked survey participants to indicate which video game platforms they currently own.
