The SA e-Sport Protea team has returned from a successful showing at the International e-Sport Federation 2012 Championships in South Korea. Upon their return, the four team members were awarded their Protea Colours.<\/p>\n

This marked the first time ever in the history of South Africa’s involvement with the IeSF that both male members had qualified out of the group stages.<\/p>\n Unfortunately both Botha and Puissa lost their playoff games to be ejected from the championship.<\/p>\n Both Isaacs and K\u00fcne performed admirably for the women’s team. K\u00fcne finished in fourth place in the Tekken event, and Isaacs finished in second place in the StarCraft II event.<\/p>\n MSSA president Colin Webster extended his thanks to Gigabyte – the official sponsor of the 2012 South African Protea Team.<\/p>\n The SA Protea team is attended the IeSF through Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA), an affiliate of the South African Confederation of Sport and Olympic Committee.<\/p>\n |
