That Mass Effect film adaptation that’s been in the works for more than four years already<\/a>? It’s basically being started over, after Legendary Entertainment decided to dump the old writer and hire a new one.<\/p>\n

Mark Protosevich (Thor, I Am Legend, The Cell) was originally on script duty, but has been replaced with Morgan Davis Foehl, a writer who doesn’t have any real credits to his name but is apparently a big Mass Effect fan.<\/p>\n

BioWare co-founders Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka were also attached to the project as executive producers when Legendary acquired the film rights in 2008, but now that they’ve quit their jobs<\/a> at the studio it’s anybody’s guess what’s going on.<\/p>\n

No cast has been confirmed yet, although I’m totally voting for Steve Buscemi as Commander Shepard.<\/p>\n
