The Halo series is arguably Microsoft\u2019s biggest game franchise, and the upcoming Halo 4 will be the first of the games not to be developed by Bungie.<\/p>\n
In order to make sure the game is still a success post-Bungie, Microsoft is throwing money at it. A lot of money. Microsoft Studios boss Phil Spencer said in an interview that Halo 4 is the most expensive game Microsoft has ever made, adding that \u201cnothing\u2019s even close.\u201d Spencer didn\u2019t disclose any actual numbers, but it\u2019s safe to assume it\u2019s a big one.<\/p>\n
According to Spencer, Halo is a three billion dollar franchise, and the “most important entertainment product in the company”. It makes sense then that Microsoft would spare no cost, there are a lot of rabid Halo fans counting the days to the November 6th release date – a fanbase Microsoft can\u2019t afford to disappoint.<\/p>\n
