Borderlands publisher 2K Games has officially announced the first batch of DLC content for the upcoming science fiction fps, which releases internationally this week.<\/p>\n
The downloadable package, entitled ‘The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned’ will be available for 800 Microsoft points (roughly R75) on Xbox 360, and roughly the same on PC and PS3. No official date of release has yet been given; although developers Gearbox have added that it will be available “later this year”.<\/p>\n
The package will reportedly bring a number of new quests, enemies and loot drops to the game.<\/p>\n
“Tasked with keeping the workers of Jakobs Cove alive, Dr. Ned… does his job a little too well, creating zombies and other abominations that now run rampant in this region,” 2K explained, describing it as a “full-fledged expansion.”<\/p>\n
Borderlands will be available on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms. There is however a chance that local Xbox 360 users will not have access to the DLC due to Xbox Live content restriction regulations for countries which lie outside of its service support area.<\/p>\n
This however will not be confirmed until the package is released.<\/p>\n
Borderlands is a first person shooter which incorporates several RPG elements in to the gameplay. Early impressions of the game suggest that it may indeed become one of 2009’s best titles.<\/p>\n
