As Movember hits the mid-point, and our upper-lips begin to get a little itchy, we must pay tribute to those gaming mos that continue to inspire us.<\/p>\n

Some gaming characters wield this charming demonstration of man-fur to represent their hardness, past challenges and overall unsurpassed manly-man manlihood.<\/p>\n

Mario (Super Mario Series)<\/h3>\n

It goes without saying that Mario is rocking one of the most recognisable and generation-defining moustaches this side of the galaxy. Not only was Mario the innovator of in-game ‘staches, but he flaunts it with his own unique style, riddled with thick European flair. You go Mario.<\/p>\n

Old Snake (Metal Gear Solid 4)<\/h3>\n

Oh Snake, not only was he the main protagonist in one of video game history\u2019s most convoluted and complicated, yet downright brilliant series, he pulled out all the stops by appearing in the fourth iteration in the Metal Gear Solid series with a patch of unparalleled manliness on his face. His moustache was a little bit of a surprise, but while it contained a bit of old silver-tipped ruggedness to it, it stands as a badass reminder of Snake\u2019s accomplishments, and represents the pinnacle of his career.<\/p>\n

Kane (Command & Conquer Series)<\/h3>\n

Okay okay, so it\u2019s a little more of a goatee, but no one can deny the evil within the little \u2018stache that slides along Kane\u2019s tyrannical upper-lip. What Kane lacks in niceties, he makes up for in facial hair grooming, and boy, he does a good job at looking evil.<\/p>\n

Dr. Robotnik (Sonic Series)<\/h3>\n

Whether people know him as Dr. Robotnik, Dr. Eggman, or that fat guy in red who always tries to kill Sonic, this guy has been rocking one of the craziest and unique moustaches around. Since 1991, Robotnik\u2019s flowingly curly red \u2018stache has been making Sonic\u2019s life a misery, and while Robotnik twists and plays with it while he\u2019s brooding over his next master plan, it only makes us want one even more.<\/p>\n

Sully (Uncharted: Drakes Fortune)<\/h3>\n

While not leading the story, Sully was one of the coolest old(ish) dudes you could ever partner-up with in Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. He had all the goods of the game, and his been-there-done-that attitude was even more awesome being filtered through one impressive moustache he had going. We can only hope to see a lot more of that beautiful piece of art in future Uncharted instalments, and we guess Sully can come too.<\/p>\n
