With news that Mweb will be hosting local PC servers for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2<\/a>, South African gamers have expressed their happiness and support for the servers, and Mweb are optimistic with the feedback.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe community seems really pleased that we have local PC servers for what is certainly going to be one of the most popular online multiplayer games in South Africa,\u201d said Mweb.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe MWEB GameZone team were really excited when we secured the opportunity to host the servers again, so it\u2019s great to see the community having this positive reception.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked about whether Black Ops 2\u2019s servers would receive priority on the networks, Mweb responded: \u201cAll gaming traffic gets top priority on the MWEB network, so yes, Black Ops 2 will also be getting that same high priority.<\/p>\n

\u201cBlack Ops 2 content is also served via Steam, so players will be able to get their patches and downloads for Steam from both Cape Town and Johannesburg Steam Server which MWEB deploys.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mweb is also planning to secure more local servers for big upcoming releases, and has become a goal for the company.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know how important low latency is for gamers, so the more great content and servers we can bring local to improve access for South African gamers is a massive win.\u201d<\/p>\n
