South African gamers are getting ready for The International, a Dota 2\u00a0tournament that puts the best of the best players from around the planet head-to-head for an all-out battle for supremacy.<\/p>\n
Three South African teams are set to participate in the event \u2013 namely Bravado Gaming,\u00a0X51\u00a0and\u00a0Icon Gaming.<\/p>\n
The three teams have entered the qualifier, which kicks off on 26 November 2012.<\/p>\n
Qualifier teams are all playing for a place to play against the big guns of the DotA 2 scene, who are on the International invitational roster.<\/p>\n
Andreas Hadjipaschali, the Managing Director of\u00a0Bravado Gaming, says that his team\u2019s aim is\u00a0\u201cTo make people understand that we’re not just a third world gaming country.\u201d<\/p>\n
X51\u2019s captain Ryan Bright also emphasised the element of preparation for competing in the International. \u201cAs of late we been playing 4PL and StarLadder, so we have an idea of what to expect from the internationals teams,\u201d said\u00a0Bright.<\/p>\n
