A stripper has expressed her distaste for the portrayal of women in Hitman: Absolution, when asked about the infamous Saints enemies<\/a> in Square Enix\u2019s new action\/stealth game.<\/p>\n

The stripper (given the name \u201cAthena\u201d) was asked what she thought about the nun-impersonating assassin-hunting Saints, who appeared in a Hitman: Absolution CGI trailer<\/a> earlier this year, and instantly generated controversy.<\/p>\n

“I think it\u2019s an excuse to show violence against women by making them the initiators of violence,\u201d said the stripper.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s as if the makers of this video game are saying, ‘Hey, these women asked for it. It\u2019s okay to kill them and beat them up because they\u2019re the \u2018dregs of society.’ It\u2019s as if [the game is saying] they are subhuman and deserve to die. But that\u2019s not who they are, it\u2019s what they do for a living; stripping is a job, not an identity.\u201d<\/p>\n

The interviewee feels that Absolution is just fetishing violence, and blames men. \u201cIt just looks like violence porn to me, and I\u2019m concerned about the minds of men who would come up with a game like this,” she said.<\/p>\n

Above all, Athena was also concerned with the practicality of murdering in high heels.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know why they would keep on their stiletto heels unless they were planning on stabbing someone with them. That\u2019s not very practical,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

Hitman: Absolution<\/strong><\/a> is out now.<\/p>\n
