While the world is busy losing it over Nintendo\u2019s just-launched Wii U, is the sneaky console maker sneaking in an original Wii redesign under everyone\u2019s noses?<\/p>\n

A rumour is making the rounds that a Wii Mini may be being launched as early as the 7th of December this year.<\/p>\n

The information comes from the internal release schedule of a major retailer, and comes via Nintendo World Report. They\u2019ve allegedly uncovered the following in the report:<\/p>\n

Introducing the Wii Mini! Coming Dec 7 2012!<\/em>
\n WII MINI CONSOLE<\/em>
\n Compact Nintendo Wii Console<\/em>
\n Comes with Sensor Bar, Nunchuk and Wii Remote Plus with Jacket.<\/em><\/p>\n

It does seem a little strange that Nintendo would be planning a major redesign without so much as an announcement; shouldn\u2019t this have been hyped a little more? It\u2019s possible the release has simply been delayed due to the Wii U, but if you want to launch something new, this is definitely the time to do so.<\/p>\n
