SyFy is preparing to air a new show, Robot Combat League, which will pit two human-sized robots against one another. It’s Real Steel… for real<\/em>-real.<\/p>\n

SyFy president, Mark Stern expressed that the company\u2019s goals have always included such a show.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has always been our desire to update and do \u2018Battle Bots\u2019 for the new century,\u201d says Stern.<\/p>\n

The network reportedly created its own robots for the show with the help of Mark Setrakian, a robotics expert who has worked on technology for films including Men In Black and Hellboy.<\/p>\n

Entertainment Weekly reported that the robots will mimic the moves of shadow-boxers.<\/p>\n

\u201cSetrakian created a robotics system that can mimic a human\u2019s actions and movements. We\u2019ve had robots decapitated, we\u2019ve had robots cut in half. It was truly spectacular,\u201d said Stern.<\/p>\n

The show will be hosted by former WWE wrestler Chris Jericho, with an announcement of its debut to appear shortly.<\/p>\n

I’ll put my money on the one with an axe for a head.<\/p>\n
