Bethesda and Arkane Studios’ stealth-’em-up Dishonored has been a hit with both critics and<\/em> gamers, and big sales for the game have apparently made its a pretty serious prospect for a sequel. Exactly nobody is surprised, I’m sure. Just like the last time I tried to infiltrate the Golden Cat<\/em>.<\/p>\n

“I can tell you that Dishonored is far exceeding our sales expectations, which is especially cool considering it’s new IP facing a host of well-established franchises this quarter,” a Bethesda rep told Destructoid.<\/p>\n

“So, we\u2019re very pleased and appreciate all the fans that have supported Dishonored and Arkane. We clearly have a new franchise.”<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Arkane is prepping at least three DLC add-ons for Dishonored<\/a>, with the first – a series of challenge maps packaged as Dunwall City Trials – due to launch on 11 December. Two campaign expansions have been confirmed for release next year, but not much additional info has been disclosed.<\/p>\n

Dishonored has also been nominated in six categories for the annual Spike TV Video Game Awards<\/a>, including Game of the Year.<\/p>\n
