{"id":4799,"date":"2009-11-10T11:24:00","date_gmt":"2009-11-10T09:24:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"resident-evil-alternative-edition-to-be-released-as-dlc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/4799-resident-evil-alternative-edition-to-be-released-as-dlc","title":{"rendered":"Resident Evil Alternative Edition to be released as DLC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An official Capcom <a href=\"http:\/\/www.capcom unity.com\/kramez\/blog\/2009\/11\/09\/re5_alternative_edition_content_coming_to_n_america_and_europe\">blog post<\/a> announced that the extra content featured in the upcoming Japanese release of &lsquo;Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition&rsquo; will be available in North America and Europe as downloadable content (DLC) for the Xbox 360 and the PS3.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You will not be asked to purchase a new copy of the game just to get at the new stuff,&#8221; the announcement says, &#8220;just make sure to hold on to your RE5 disc and you&#8217;ll be ready to roll in Spring 2010.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Although expected pricing levels have not yet been confirmed the post says the DLC will include &#8220;some other things we haven&#8217;t told you about yet,&rdquo; and suggests gamers should &ldquo;Keep that in mind when thinking about selling RE5 back or handing it off to a friend.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The method of distribution to North American and European territories was voted upon by franchise fans, 1500 of which voted for DLC.
