Despite the notion that The Old Republic\u2019s jump to a free-to-play model<\/a> is a sign that the game\u2019s popularity is slipping, the game\u2019s producer assures that things are going well, and same-sex romances are on their way.<\/p>\n

Jeff Hickman, an executive producer at Bioware, wrote a \u201cState of the Game\u201d blog entry regarding the large-scale Star Wars MMO, in which he confirmed that the extended romance options will be included in the Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are adding [same-gender romances] with some NPCs on Makeb and do intend on pursuing more SGR options in the future,\u201d Hickman said.<\/p>\n

The producer also apologised for the feature taking so long to reach the game, and that Bioware is fully supportive of the addition.<\/p>\n

The Rise of the Hutt Cartel add-on increases the massively multiplayer online role-playing game’s level cap to 55, adds a new planet called Makeb, and features fully-voiced conversations.<\/p>\n

Hickman also jumped into some of the details that will be included with the incoming updates.<\/p>\n
