Rovio\u2019s avian-flinging phenomenon isn\u2019t slowing down, as Angry Birds nailed some milestones over the Christmas period.<\/p>\n

Angry Birds saw 30 million downloads over the week of 22-29 December, with Christmas Day racking up 8 million downloads within 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Rovio also thanked bird-flingers everywhere for the on-going support.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been an amazing year and we can\u2019t thank our fans enough for their fantastic support. Stay tuned in 2013 for even more incredible surprises,\u201d said Rovio.<\/p>\n

The developer\u2019s other spin-offs, Angry Birds Star Wars and Bad Piggies saw themselves dominating the iPhone charts since their releases.<\/p>\n
