It comes as no surprise that Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) was the top selling game in the UK last week. The game has famously been declared the largest entertainment media launch ever, and has already surpassed 10-million units sold worldwide.<\/p>\n
It had an extremely strong launch week, and its second week sales declined by 86%. This is not to say that it experienced poor week 2 sales, but it gives us an idea of how strong its launch week was.<\/p>\n
According to GFK<\/a> sales data published by Gamasutra<\/a>, MW2 for Xbox 360 was followed by the just launched Assassin’s Creed 2 on Xbox 360 which managed to beat MW2 on PS3.
