Hollywood director Duncan Jones has signed on to direct the live-action adaptation of Blizzard\u2019s epic universe of WarCraft.<\/p>\n
Duncan Jones, who is best known for his directorial work on Moon and Source Code, is set to begin production later this year.<\/p>\n
The production company behind the project is Legendary Pictures, who\u2019ve handled other big-scale films, such as The Dark Knight Rises and is also financing the upcoming Godzilla reboot.<\/p>\n
The script is being penned by Charles Leavitt (Blood Diamond, The Express), but is being kept under wraps about which WarCraft story it could be inspired from.<\/p>\n
Duncan Jones took to Twitter to express his belief in the project.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo the gauntlet was thrown down ages ago: Can you make a proper MOVIE of a video game. I\u2019ve always said it\u2019s possible. Got to DO it now,\u201d said Jones.<\/p>\n
