Capcom has revealed its latest financial report (ending 31 March 2013), and the game company has expressed its disappointment in the sales of Resident Evil 6.<\/p>\n
Resident Evil 6 sold over 4.8 million units, and while that may seem like a lot for any other publisher, Capcom was not happy with the results.<\/p>\n
\u201cDespite recording brisk sales when it debuted, [RE6] subsequently lost its momentum, resulting in the failure to achieve planned sales and fulfil its role as a driver of sales expansion,\u201d said Capcom.<\/p>\n
On the plus side, Capcom\u2019s new IP, Dragon\u2019s Dogma, exceeded expectations and became a surprise hit for the company.<\/p>\n
Monster Hunter 3 (Tri) G HD Ver, despite being the company\u2019s first Wii U game, was also a strong title in the fiscal year, as it performed well above expectations.<\/p>\n
Overall, Capcom racked up a revenue of 72.7-billion yen (R6.87-billion), and a net income of 6.6-billion yen (62-million), which was more than double it made from the same period in the previous fiscal year.<\/p>\n
