Ubisoft has announced that the next instalment in the Assassin\u2019s Creed franchise will arrive within the 2014 financial year.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are delighted and proud to announce today that in [fiscal year 2014], we will introduce an all-new Assassin\u2019s Creed hero, within an all new team and time period,\u201d said Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe expect it to be another major leap forward for the franchise,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The Ubisoft financial year extends from March 2013 to March 2014, and given that Assassin\u2019s Creed entries tend to release towards the holiday period, could we be seeing the game by the end of the year?<\/p>\n
Assassin\u2019s Creed 3 wrapped up the overarching Desmond storyline, and although the game went on to sell over 12 million copies, it was received with mixed reviews.<\/p>\n
In Ubisoft\u2019s third-quarter financial report, the company made \u20ac802 million in sales, up 23% from the previous year\u2019s same period.<\/p>\n
