{"id":50507,"date":"2013-02-12T11:48:09","date_gmt":"2013-02-12T09:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=50507"},"modified":"2013-02-12T11:50:53","modified_gmt":"2013-02-12T09:50:53","slug":"thq-game-distribution-on-hold-in-sa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/50507-thq-game-distribution-on-hold-in-sa","title":{"rendered":"THQ game distribution on hold in SA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SA gamers have become part of the casualties, as THQ has announced that all game distribution has been put on hold in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn light of the recent unfortunate events that have taken place within THQ, Ster Kinekor Entertainment will not at this time be distributing titles previously announced by THQ,\u201d said Ster Kinekor Entertainment Chief Executive Officer\u00a0Mario\u00a0Dos Santos.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes following the game publisher\u2019s announcement of bankruptcy.<\/p>\n<p>THQ\u2019s IPs, which include some big-name hitters, such as the Darksiders, Saints Row and Metro licenses, were auctioned off to the highest bidders.
