Gearbox president Randy Pitchford has finally responded to fans, following the controversy surrounding the lacklustre Aliens: Colonial Marines.<\/p>\n

The game itself looked incredibly promising during preview events and demonstrations, yet the retail release was a far cry from what was shown. The game features shoddy textures, simplistic AI and lacked all the dynamic lighting, atmospheric effects and general polish that the demo showcased.<\/p>\n

Rumours that the game development wasn\u2019t even done by Gearbox, and was instead outsourced to TimeGate, also caused concern.<\/p>\n

Pitchford responded to the criticisms on Twitter, saying that he\u2019s a \u201cglass-half-full kind of guy\u201d and only wants \u201cpositive feelings\u201d on his personal Twitter account.<\/p>\n

Pitchford then urged users to say whatever they want, but that they will be blocked if they\u2019re not offering any value to the conversation.<\/p>\n

One user directed an angry tweet at Pitchford, saying that all that matters to Gearbox is the money made from the game. Pitchford replied:<\/p>\n

Pitchford only continued to respond to positive tweets about Aliens: Colonial Marines.<\/p>\n
