Following the big reveal of the Playstation 4, Sony has confirmed that the new console will not block the playability of used games, despite previous rumours suggesting it would.<\/p>\n

Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida was asked about whether the upcoming console would not be able to play used games.<\/p>\n

“[Gamers] purchase in physical form, they want to use it everywhere, right? So that’s my expectation,\u201d said Yoshida.<\/p>\n

“So, used games can play on PS4,” Yoshida added.<\/p>\n

A Sony source also said that the used-game-blocking patent<\/a> that was discovered has nothing to do with the Playstation 4.<\/p>\n
