2013 has already overwhelmed us with some big titles this year, but the gaming calendar is just getting started,\u00a0 as Tomb Raider, SimCity, Heart of the Swarm, God of War: Ascension, Gears of War: Judgment, Bioshock: Infinite, Sly Cooper and Army of Two all return this month.<\/p>\n

Tomb Raider (PC, Xbox 360, PS3) – 5 March<\/strong><\/h3>\n

After some ups and downs, everyone\u2019s favourite treasure hunter is set to make a comeback, as Lara Croft is getting her much-needed reboot in March.<\/p>\n

The reboot is set to put a 21 year-old Lara in the fight of her life as she is shipwrecked on an unknown island, forced to deal with excruciating emotional and physical pain to survive.<\/p>\n

Taking more of an Uncharted-esque approach, Tomb Raider should ignite 2013 with a new cinematic journey for Ms. Croft.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

SimCity (PC) – 8 March<\/strong><\/h3>\n

SimCity finally returns this month with a new look for a new generation.<\/p>\n

The game is running on Maxis\u2019 new Glassbox engine, which promises to bring interesting new elements to the classic city-sim gameplay we have come to expect.<\/p>\n

SimCity 5 is expected to support \u201ctens of thousands\u201d of units (people and vehicles) each with their own self-contained simulation logic and can all be moving at once.<\/p>\n

Multiplayer features will include cloud saves and persistent statistics. Multiplayer will use an asynchronous server model. Interactions with friends (or foe) will be possible without being simultaneously online.<\/p>\n

\"simcity\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm (PC) – 12 March<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Heart of the Swarm picks up the story of StarCraft II where Wings of Liberty left off, focusing on Kerrigan\u2019s quest to reunite the Swarm and exact revenge on Arcturus Mengsk.<\/p>\n

New units will make an appearance, while certain existing units from Wings of Liberty will be updated with new capabilities.<\/p>\n

Group and clan systems; unranked matchmaking; Global Play; additional stat tracking; user interface improvements; an enhanced physics system; multiplayer replays; and a levelling system are just some of the additions that are coming with Heart of the Swarm.<\/p>\n

\"Heart<\/a><\/p>\n

God of War: Ascension (PS3) – 13 March<\/strong><\/h3>\n

God of War III boasted some some stellar visuals that still hold strong today, and Ascension is aiming to top that in 2013.<\/p>\n

Kratos, while appearing a little more tanned due to not being covered in his family\u2019s ashes, is looking detailed like never before. The environments look great, things move in a silky-smooth fashion and the game just has that \u201cshine\u201d that Sony Santa Monica is known for delivering.<\/p>\n

Competitive multiplayer<\/a> should also add a new element to the gameplay, as for a first-time in the series, players will be able to create their own warrior, select a god to worship and take to a number of different arenas in order to battle it out for supremacy.<\/p>\n

Gears of War: Judgment (Xbox 360) – 22 March<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Gears saga continues, but jumping back to the past this time.<\/p>\n

Players will once again team up by taking the reins of Augustus Cole and Damon Baird, as the two step into the limelight to face the horrors of E-Day.<\/p>\n

Expect more dependence, camaraderie, and dual-locust-killing when Gears of War: Judgment drops.<\/p>\n

\"Gears<\/a><\/p>\n

Bioshock Infinite (PC, Xbox 360, PS3) – 26 March<\/strong><\/h3>\n

After numerous delays, Bioshock Infinite finally arrives this month.<\/p>\n

BioShock Infinite puts players in the role of Booker DeWitt, a hard-bitten former Pinkerton agent, together with the revolutionary AI companion, Elizabeth.<\/p>\n

The two struggle to escape the sky-city of Columbia, in a 1912 America that might have been. Armed with an arsenal of new weapons and abilities, they face\u00a0menacing enemies<\/a>, in unique expansive environments.<\/p>\n

Sly Cooper Thieves in Time (PS3) – 26 March
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n
\n

The Sly Cooper series has to be one of the most consistent franchises around, with the InFamous developer SuckerPunch always delivering.<\/p>\n

The team behind the HD trilogy collection, Sanzaru Games, are now handling the thieving racoon\u2019s latest adventure, Thieves in Time, and things are looking as promising as ever.<\/p>\n

Sly can now don some new special costumes, granting him new abilities, such as using a shield and shooting arrows to create rope lines. Sly\u2019s ancestors will also make an appearance and are playable in a number of levels and scenarios.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Army of Two: The Devil\u2019s Cartel (Xbox 360, PS3) – 26 March<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Thank heavens there is a new Army of Two, as some co-op dedicated destruction has been lacking for a little while.<\/p>\n

Army of Two: The Devil\u2019s Cartel will feature two new characters, Alpha and Bravo, who enter the stage from previous series protagonists Salem and Rios.<\/p>\n

Alpha and Bravo will take on the gang-ridden streets of Mexico with the license to kill and ability to blow-up just about anything.<\/p>\n

Army of Two: The Devil\u2019s Cartel runs on DICE\u2019s Frostbite 2 engine.<\/p>\n

\"Army<\/a><\/p>\n

Other notable releases:<\/strong> The Walking Dead Survival Instinct<\/a>, Sniper Ghost Warrior 2, Resident Evil 6 (PC), Battlefield 3: End Game, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14<\/a>, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3<\/a><\/p>\n
