Any old-school CRPG fan better count Planescape Torment among their stripes, or else they haven’t virtually lived in a fantastical multi-dimensional aeon of strife. As well as being a fan-favourite, it is widely critically acclaimed for numerable good reasons which I won’t go into here.<\/p>\n
I’m gushing about a game released back in 1999 because it sets the foundation for inXile Entertainment’s latest endeavour – Torment: Tides of Numenera. It’s pertinent to be clear that Torment: Tides of Numenera is not a sequel to 1999’s Planescape Torment.<\/p>\n
The development is lead by Brian Fargo, a legend in his own right, having been involved in games such as The Bard\u2019s Tale, Star Trek: 25th Anniversary, Battle Chess, Castles, the original Wasteland and its spiritual successor, Fallout, and Kickstarter success story Wasteland 2.<\/p>\n
Colin McComb and Monte Cook, original developers of the Planescape setting are on board as creative leads.
