Telkom already sponsors the country&rsquo;s most established leagues for PC gamers, and is now looking to include a variety of console titles in its line up.<\/p>\n<p>The console leagues will kick off in April and the following games will be played:<\/p>\n<p>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Modern Warfare 2 (PS3 &amp; Xbox 360)<br \/>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; FIFA 10 (PS3 &amp; Xbox 360)<br \/>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Forza 3 Motorsport (Xbox 360)<br \/>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Guitar Hero 5 (Xbox 360)<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/gaming.do.co.za\/articles\/localnews\/modern_warfare_2_for_console_leagues.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Telkom DoGaming <\/a>Modern Warfare 2 will be played as a team tournament, Forza 3 will be played in 8 player races and Fifa 10 and Guitar Hero 5 will be played as single player events.<\/p>\n<p>The leagues will adopt a round-robin structure with groups and pools.<\/p>\n<p>Since games will be played online, a minimum 512k ADSL line is recommended to ensure that LAG does not damage the quality of gameplay. Players will also need a legitimate version of the game they wish to play in order to compete, as well as an active Xbox Live Gold account in order to play online.<\/p>\n<p>Telkom DoGaming will release the official rule set for the leagues sometime before registrations are opened. League matches will then commence on April 5 2010.<\/p>\n<p>It remains to be seen if Telkom&rsquo;s console leagues will be as well supported as their PC leagues have.
