Infinity Ward yesterday released a patch for the PC version of Modern Warfare 2. The patch will automatically download and install via Steam, and is largely aimed at fixing a number of hacking vulnerabilities in the game.<\/p>\n

Fix list<\/strong><\/p>\n

•    Fix for latest texture hacks<\/p>\n

•    Fix to prevent players from getting inside geo<\/p>\n

•    Fix to prevent players with illegally pirated copies of Modern Warfare 2 from matchmaking with legitimate Modern Warfare 2 players<\/p>\n

•    Connection improvements for NAT-PMP routers<\/p>\n

•    Fix for “elevator” glitch that allows players to get out of playable area<\/p>\n

Since its launch Modern Warfare 2 has been widely criticised for having a significant amount of players cheating.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen how long this patch can keep cheaters and pirates at bay.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
