A new Far Cry 3 mod strips down the confines and limitations of the game, giving a much more free and open experience with Ubisoft\u2019s tropical island shooter.<\/p>\n
Ziggy\u2019s mod takes a simplistic approach to the Far Cry 3 gameplay and drops the unnecessary HUD and game prompts that detract from the open world layout.<\/p>\n
The mod removes the minimap and replaces it with a simple compass, which doesn\u2019t identify plant and treasure icons, further relying on your naked eye to spot objects you require.<\/p>\n
It may seem like it makes things a lot harder, but the fact is that it immerses players a lot more and adds some reward to actually finding items.<\/p>\n
The mod also unlocks the entire map (both islands) from the start, along with all weapons being purchasable, allowing you to really tackle what you want.<\/p>\n
The crafting system has also been reworked; upping the requirements needed for crafted items, but giving you more pouches for your work. This makes it a bit more difficult, and while it may put some off, it does add greater value to your discoveries.<\/p>\n
Enemies are also outfitted in camouflage gear, making them harder to spot from their original bright-red getups.<\/p>\n
