In undoubtedly the most bizarre story of the day, a man has been arrested for fatally stabbing, and beating his girlfriend to death with an Xbox.<\/p>\n
Darius Johnson (22) is the accused, and beat his girlfriend, Monica Gooden, to death in his apartment, before heading to a neighbouring apartment block and attacking an elderly woman, Geraldine Price.<\/p>\n
Price\u2019s nephew broke up the fight and called 911, and that\u2019s when Johnson was arrested.<\/p>\n
Price said that she had been wearing a pink robe and laughing on the phone with a friend; this sparked Johnson as he was walking by, who reportedly said that he thought she was a pink elephant laughing at him.<\/p>\n
The police arrived in time to apprehend Johnson, which then led them back to his apartment, revealing that he had killed his girlfriend earlier in the day.<\/p>\n
“She’s in heaven,” said Johnson. “I kept on stabbing her but she just wouldn’t die.”<\/p>\n
At Johnson\u2019s apartment, police found a trail of blood to Gooden\u2019s body, along with an Xbox console covered in blood.<\/p>\n
Johnson told police he fought Gooden “like he was fighting a dragon” and “felt like a new man afterwards,” the affidavit said.<\/p>\n
Johnson said that he and his girlfriend had a fight regarding Johnson\u2019s mother moving in with them, which Gooden was opposed to.<\/p>\n
“Monica should be brutally murdered,\u201d is explained on Johnson\u2019s affidavit.<\/p>\n
Johnson is facing a murder charge for Gooden\u2019s death, along with a burglary and battery charge for attacking Price.<\/p>\n
