Eidos Montreal is hard at work to deliver a truly next-gen Thief game to future consoles and PCs, but the developer emphasises that keyboard and mouse enthusiasts will not get a simple port.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo doubt on our side the PC version is extremely important,\u201d said producer Stephane Roy. \u201cJust playing Thief with a keyboard and mouse it\u2019s different so we must make sure we support that well. For making the PC version we think like a PC gamer, for consoles it\u2019s a different type of beast. It\u2019s one of our goals to make sure that the PC version isn\u2019t just a copy of the console version.\u201d<\/p>\n
Although Roy was referring to the control scheme, it\u2019s safe to assume that Thief will receive some special PC features, as seen with Square Enix\u2019s PC support on Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs and Eidos Montreal\u2019s own Deus Ex: Human Revolution.<\/p>\n
