A group of\u00a0PC gamers\u00a0set out to spruce up the single-player-only open-world action game Just Cause 2 with multiplayer, and they succeeded, showing off some crazy multiplayer moments – and now there are some new additions.<\/p>\n
Players can now take on one another in 62-player limousine races (backed by some music from Pappa the Rappa).<\/p>\n
The JC2-MP mod adds the capabilities for multiple players to unleash havoc, destruction and perform crazy stunts together, even allowing 1800 players on the same map. Flipping speedboats, tank battles, free-fall competitions, dogfights and just about anything else you can think of doing with friends in Just Cause 2 is now a possibility.<\/p>\n
The mod will undoubtedly spark some more interest into Just Cause 2 for players who maybe neglected the over-the-top action game, and can monitor the development of the mod on the Just Cause 2 multiplayer mod page<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat the guys have done now with the multiplayer mod is fantastic, and it completely came out of left field. So we have them to thank for a lot. It\u2019s even too crazy for Just Cause,\u201d said Avalanche boss Christofer Sundberg. \u201cIf we had done it it would have been more planned. Since it\u2019s a mod, it\u2019s just like DayZ, they can get away with a lot, which we wouldn\u2019t be able to unfortunately as a developer.\u201d<\/p>\n Although it\u2019s not yet been announced, Just Cause 3 is\u00a0rumoured to be in development<\/a>\u00a0already for next-gen consoles and PC.<\/p>\n Check out the mod in action below:<\/p>\n
