{"id":53393,"date":"2013-05-01T12:55:54","date_gmt":"2013-05-01T10:55:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=53393"},"modified":"2013-05-01T12:57:18","modified_gmt":"2013-05-01T10:57:18","slug":"make-a-great-half-life-2-mod-get-a-job-at-valve","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/pc\/53393-make-a-great-half-life-2-mod-get-a-job-at-valve","title":{"rendered":"Make a great Half-Life 2 mod, get a job at Valve"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man by the name of Adam Foster created a mod for Half Life 2, entitled Minerva, which was incredibly well-received and became immensely popular when it released episodically in 2005, 2006 and 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Foster\u2019s mod was so impressive that Valve, the developers behind the Half-Life series, actually went and captured (okay, hired) Foster for their own diabolical plans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike any of my projects, it started off small, but rapidly grew far, far, bigger,\u201d said Foster, adding that he \u201caccidentally acquired a job in the process\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Foster began working at Valve Corporation, and has been hard at work with the Valve team to prepare Minerva: Director\u2019s Cut for Steam.<\/p>\n<p>The Director\u2019s Cut isn\u2019t different in terms of content, but features \u201ctweaked visuals, bug fixes, better puzzles and all kinds of subtle improvements.
