The year continues to move forward with complete disregard to gamers trying to catch up with some earlier releases; however, as with anything in life, we\u2019ve got to roll with the times, and the month of May has some pretty big games up its sleeve.<\/p>\n

Metro: Last Light<\/h3>\n

Expect more crazy weapons, creatures and locations when Metro: Last Light arrives this month.<\/p>\n

The franchise will return on PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms, and should push the current-gen systems given that the original game became well-known for its great visuals.<\/p>\n

Metro: Last Light is set in 2034 and after the events of the original game, where humanity have been pushed into the Metro underground of Moscow, fighting for survival against grotesque creatures and enemies.<\/p>\n

As humanity makes its last stand, they also search for a doomsday device that could be the key to their victory. Players will reprise the role of Artyom, who is the last light for all of mankind.<\/p>\n

Fast & Furious: Showdown<\/h3>\n

For all the die-hard Vin Diesel fans out there, Activision’s Fast & Furious: Showdown releases this month to tie into the upcoming sixth film.<\/p>\n

The game will arrive on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, and will obviously involve racing, however, the game allows the player to switch between roles \u2013 driver, gunman, tactician, and daredevil.<\/p>\n

The game will feature two-player co-op for a number of action-packed missions, presumably allowing one player to drive while the other hangs out the window as the shooter.<\/p>\n

Fast & Furious: Showdown will have \u201csome of the hottest vehicles and race across epic locations around the globe\u201d. Vehicle customisation and upgrades will also be available.<\/p>\n

There is also a Challenge Mode, in which players can compete against one another on an online leader board.<\/p>\n

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger<\/h3>\n

Following their dismal modern outing with Call of Juarez: The Cartel<\/a>, developer Techland knows that fans wanted to head back to the Wild West.<\/p>\n

In Gunslinger, players will be paying homage to the great Wild West tales, meeting legendary outlaws such as Billy the Kid, Pat Garrett, and Jesse James.<\/p>\n

Gameplay will include the bullet dodging and shooting-combos. Players will apparently be able to choose specific gun fighting skills and develop and acquire new shooting abilities during the game.<\/p>\n

Resident Evil: Revelations HD<\/h3>\n

Most people see the title Resident Evil: Revelations and look the other way, partially due to it being related to a handheld game, or not seeing a numerical value signifying a full sequel. Well, pay attention.<\/p>\n

Resident Evil: Revelations HD is revamped version of the original 3DS game.<\/p>\n

Resident Evil: Revelations returns to the survival horror gameplay of earlier series installments, with returning elements such as a limited supply of ammunition, and more emphasis on exploration and puzzle solving.<\/p>\n

Fuse<\/h3>\n

Originally known as Overstrike, Insomniac\u2019s four-person co-op shooter has had a serious overhaul, and is now called Fuse.<\/p>\n

The game follows four CIA agents who each have unique skill sets and (in typical Insomniac fashion) crazy over-the-top weaponry.<\/p>\n

Dalton Brooks, Izzy Sinclair, Jacob Kimble, and Naya Deveraux are the only things standing between humanity and a deadly alien energy source called Fuse, which a paramilitary organisation called Raven is trying to get its hands on.<\/p>\n

Players will be able to switch from agent to agent to command the upper hand on the battlefield and have access to\u00a0extraordinary\u00a0Fuse-powered weapons that can be combined for a\u00a0devastating\u00a0effect.<\/p>\n

Grid 2<\/h3>\n

A sequel to arguably one of the best racing games in recent years, Racedriver: Grid, is heading our way this month.<\/p>\n

Codemasters will be bringing Grid 2 to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, and with it, deliver the fast-paced and high-quality racing that you can expect from the Codies team.<\/p>\n

Using the EGO Game Technology Platform, GRID 2 aims to bring a new level of realism to AI, damage, visuals and their acclaimed \u201crewind feature\u201d, which has been used in many other racers today.<\/p>\n

The sequel will feature a single-player career mode, split-screen and online components, along with deep customisation options.<\/p>\n
