A product page for Mirror\u2019s Edge 2 has appeared the German arm of Amazon, showing the game for Xbox 360, and presumably Playstation 3.<\/p>\n
The page has since been pulled down, but not before some quick internet users could screen capture it.<\/p>\n
The listing also shows the price at EUR99.99, but that could simply be a place-holder.<\/p>\n
EA did respond, saying that they\u00a0“appreciate fan enthusiasm for Mirror\u2019s Edge, especially fans throughout the retail channel. This is not official EA material.” EA also said: “We have nothing to announce at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n
News and rumours about Mirror\u2019s Edge 2 have been leaping around the industry rooftops for quite some time.<\/p>\n
Ngmoco\u2019s Ben Cousins, who formerly worked at Electronic Arts as a general manager of EA Easy, previously tweeted that a sequel to DICE\u2019s 2008 first-person platformer is in fact already in the works.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is general knowledge in the Stockholm\u00a0dev scene that Mirror\u2019s Edge 2 is in production at DICE,\u201d said Cousins in a tweet.<\/p>\n
Cousins was responding to an article from OXM, in which EA Games VP Patrick Soderlund said that DICE doesn\u2019t want to become a \u201cBattlefield factory\u201d.<\/p>\n
