Valve has launched a new system that will allow Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players to police themselves.<\/p>\n

Overwatch is the new system, and has just been launched in its beta phase.<\/p>\n

The system allows reputable and long-serving members of the CS: GO community to be investigators, giving them access to an \u201cOverwatch button\u201d if anything needs to be flagged.<\/p>\n

These incidences will become pending cases which require further monitoring by other Overwatchers.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the investigators collectively agree that an offence has occurred, a ban will be issued. The ban duration will depend on the severity of the offence and the suspect\u2019s history of convictions, if any.\u201d<\/p>\n

Valve has put together a handy Overwatch FAQ<\/a> to explain the system and its functioning further.<\/p>\n
