After a listing for Mirror\u2019s Edge 2 appeared on the German arm of Amazon, it was pulled. Mirror’s Edge 2 has now reappeared on Amazon Italy, listed for Xbox One.<\/p>\n

The listing is slightly different from the German one, as it now pictures the Mirror\u2019s Edge logo on the official Xbox One game casing, which was revealed by Microsoft.<\/p>\n

Microsoft explained at the Xbox One reveal event that they have 15 exclusives lined up for the upcoming console \u2013 could Mirror\u2019s Edge 2 be one of them?<\/p>\n

EA did respond to the initial German listing, saying that they\u00a0“appreciate fan enthusiasm for Mirror\u2019s Edge, especially fans throughout the retail channel. This is not official EA material.” EA also said: “We have nothing to announce at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

News and rumours about Mirror\u2019s Edge 2 have been leaping around the industry rooftops for quite some time.<\/p>\n

Ngmoco\u2019s Ben Cousins, who formerly worked at Electronic Arts as a general manager of EA Easy, previously tweeted that a sequel to DICE\u2019s 2008 first-person platformer is in fact already in the works.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is general knowledge in the Stockholm\u00a0dev scene that Mirror\u2019s Edge 2 is in production at DICE,\u201d said Cousins in a tweet.<\/p>\n

Cousins was responding to an article from OXM, in which EA Games VP Patrick Soderlund said that DICE doesn\u2019t want to become a \u201cBattlefield factory\u201d.<\/p>\n

Another hint came from an\u00a0ex-EA software engineer<\/a>, who claimed to have worked on \u201cthe wandering of crowd system within Unreal3 engine\u201d on Mirror\u2019s Edge 2 in 2009; while another\u00a0former employee<\/a>\u00a0said that he implemented \u201cnew gadgets and interactive features”, “leader-boards” and a \u201cmini-game\u201d for the yet-to-be-announced free-running sequel.<\/p>\n
