Sega\u2019s war-time strategy game Company of Heroes 2 has reached open beta for all virtual war-mongering PC enthusiasts to try their hand at.<\/p>\n

The open beta can be downloaded and played through Steam, and offers players the chance to try the first 45 levels of the game\u2019s progression and bulletin system. Players will also be able to transfer all their progression and unlocks to the full game when purchased in the first 60 days of release.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve added new match-making servers, implemented a significant amount of Closed Beta feedback and fixed more bugs, compatibility and performance issues than I can count,\u201d said the game\u2019s producer Greg Wilson.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe team will continue to read comments and feedback in our official forums and participate in regular playtests with the community. We\u2019ll be patching the beta frequently and getting into a good rhythm for our post launch support cycle.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sequel will feature a new campaign following the battles across the Eastern Front of Europe in World War II, the new Essence 3.0 Engine, and a \u2018True Sight\u2019 game mechanic, in which players will only be able to see what their controlled soldiers see, leaving what may be behind the next building or treeline unknown.<\/p>\n

Company of Heroes 2 will release on 25 June 2013 for PC.<\/p>\n
