{"id":5495,"date":"2010-03-02T11:26:00","date_gmt":"2010-03-02T09:26:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"ps3-glitch-resolved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/playstation\/5495-ps3-glitch-resolved","title":{"rendered":"PS3 glitch resolved"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mygaming.co.za\/news\/ps3\/5486-Massive-issues-with-PlayStation-Network-today.html\" target=\"_self\">the issue<\/a> which recently left PS3 owners unable to log into the Playstation Network, and in some cases play games offline, for almost twenty four hours has been resolved.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sony&rsquo;s Patrick Seybold, via the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.us.playstation.com\/2010\/03\/playstation-network-service-restored\/\" target=\"_blank\">official Playstation blog<\/a>, an internal clock error was to blame.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We are aware that the internal clock functionality in the PS3 units other than the slim model, recognized the year 2010 as a leap year. Having the internal clock date change from February 29 to March 1 (both GMT), we have verified that the symptoms are now resolved and that users are able to use their PS3 normally.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If the time displayed on the XMB is still incorrect, users are able to adjust time settings manually or via the internet.
