{"id":5502,"date":"2010-03-03T11:41:00","date_gmt":"2010-03-03T09:41:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"man-exports-ps2s-to-fund-terrorism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/5502-man-exports-ps2s-to-fund-terrorism","title":{"rendered":"Man exports PS2s to fund terrorism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>United States Federal Authorities have revealed that a man who had been exporting PlayStation 2&rsquo;s to a shopping centre in Paraguay may have been using this vehicle to fund terrorist organisation Hezbollah.<\/p>\n<p>Khaled Safadi of Doral, a Miami suburb &ndash; Paraguayan citizen with US residency, has been indicted on eleven counts of funding terrorism. According to <a href=\"http:\/\/kotaku.com\/5484149\/man-accused-of-exporting-ps2s-to-fund-hezbollah\" target=\"_blank\">Kotaku<\/a> the man sold $720 00 worth of PS2 consoles to the store using false addresses and documents to conceal their origin.<\/p>\n<p>For the time being Safadi is out on bail of $1.55 million. In a court hearing his lawyer held up a PS2 console and declared &#8220;It&#8217;s a children&#8217;s toy. He is being accused of shipping a children&#8217;s toy to Paraguay.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It all seems a little fishy.
