After much hype and anticipation the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2008 first person shooter and multiplayer extravaganza, Battlefield: Bad Company, is just days away from its South African release.<\/p>\n
First impressions of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 suggest that it is every bit as good as its dirty dozen’esque predecessor. Although some have voiced concerns about it being a console to PC port, early reports from the various demos and betas indicate that EA did a good job ensuring the game offers a solid first person shooter on all platforms.<\/p>\n
The gameplay in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be similar to that that of in its predecessor in the respect that it is set in a number of environments across the globe, including the mountainous regions of the Russian border.<\/p>\n
The single player campaign features thirteen missions and includes the same characters which are found in Battlefield: Bad Company. The game’s prologue takes place on an unmanned island in the Pacific during World War II and introduces the player to a secret weapon code named ‘Aurora’.<\/p>\n
Aurora subsequently drives the campaign in which the Bad Company boys endeavour to guarantee their piece of the super weapon pie, so to speak.<\/p>\n
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 also makes considerable room for its multiplayer mode. The ‘Gold Rush’ mode found in the original has been renamed ‘Rush’ and players will earn obligatory experience points during the course of their multiplayer career.<\/p>\n
