As if it was not bad enough that Ubisoft has attached an always-online DRM requirement to new PC game releases, the publisher has gone and made things a whole lot worse.<\/p>\n
Gamers who bought copies of Assassin’s Creed 2 and Silent Hunter 5 over the weekend are up in arms, as server crashes rendered the games virtually unplayable.<\/p>\n
Reports have been coming in that gamers have been having problems installing the games, and playing and saving games.<\/p>\n
Ubisoft has released a statement, claiming that the server crashes are due to “exceptional demand,” although Ubisoft community managers have stated that the crashes are unacceptable.<\/p>\n
This marks the fourth chapter in Ubisoft’s DRM debacle.<\/p>\n
