Fans of flora and the undead will be sad to learn that Plants vs. Zombies 2 is delayed.<\/p>\n
The ironically subtitled Plants vs. Zombies 2: It\u2019s About Time will now arrive at a later stage than the initial 18 July release date, as PopCap explains that it will drop “later in the summer. Stay tuned for more details.”<\/p>\n
The developer said the reason was to ensure that the game is \u201cup to fans’ standards.”<\/p>\n
The sequel will feature new levels, plants, zombies and new content throughout the game\u2019s life cycle, which is basically eternal.<\/p>\n
There will also be ways to \u201cbreak the fourth wall\u201d in order to interact with zombies and plants directly through touch gestures.<\/p>\n
The game will launch exclusively on iPhone, iPad and iPhone touch, but PopCap did say that it wants to extend the release beyond mobile platforms.<\/p>\n
