Blizzard has confirmed that it is exploring the idea of including in-game micro-transactions into its MMORPG World of Warcraft.<\/p>\n

The discovery of micro-transactions happened when players stumbled across the Enduring Elixir of Wisdom on the game\u2019s Public Test Realm (PTR).\u00a0The item immediately adds a 100 percent experience gain to the player.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are currently exploring the possibility of adding a way for players in certain regions to make purchases directly within the game,\u201d said Blizzard on it\u2019s the WoW forums. \u201cAs part of this process, elements related to this will be appearing on the PTR. We\u2019ll provide additional updates on our plans as development progresses.\u201d<\/p>\n

Previously, World of Warcraft added a $10 Cinder Kitten<\/a>, but it was to pull together funds in aid of those affected by Hurricane Sandy, which hit the Northeastern United States in October 2012.<\/p>\n
