After an eternity in beta, Valve\u2019s free-to-play MOBA has finally launched on Steam.<\/p>\n
PC gamers can head over to the game\u2019s page and jump in the queue to download the game. The queue has been created to avoid a rush of players that could overload the servers.<\/p>\n
Players will be \u201clet in\u201d in batches to download the game and start playing, where Valve can monitor how the system reacts and manages the bulk of players.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur thinking is that we want the existing audience to have uninterrupted access during the launch, in addition to bringing new players into Dota 2 in a way that isn’t frustrating,\u201d said Valve. \u201cSimply put, we want to smooth out the traditional launch spike, but at the same time allow anyone to come in and try out Dota 2.\u201d<\/p>\n
